There has been alot of changes to the RULES in 2007 and we will be following them again in 2008. PAYOUT this year will also be changing. Payout will go deeper  in the factory classes and more will be added to the ungoverned classes so they get better payouts. Please bare with us as changes are made (hopefully for the good).Please read all the info that applies to your class. We are not accountable for your errors.

 

The PAYOUT for this year is as follows:

Youth: All pullers will receive so kind of payback

All governed classes: Payout will be based on amount of tractors(max will be 1 thru 10)

All ungoverned classes: Payout will be 1st thru 3rd

GENERAL RULES AND SAFTEY PERTAINING TO ALL CLASSES

The following rules are designed for the orderly conduct of the garden tractor pulling events and to reduce the risk of injury to both participants and spectators. It is the obligation of each participant to ensure that his/her conduct and equipment comply with all applicable rules and regulations, as they may be amended from time to time. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from the compliance with these rules. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to pullers or spectators.

1. Contest is open to two wheel drive, rear wheel drive, rubber-tired tractors.

No dual wheel, chains, studs, or paddle tires are permitted.

2. Each tractor may be entered only once per class per driver. One pull

per tractor unless he/she is test puller or a tie is declared. Each driver is

allowed 2 attempts within the 50 foot mark. The second attempt is

official. Test puller will pull in third spot unless a break can be proven.

No other changes will be permitted.

3. ALL TRACTORS MUST HAVE WORKING BRAKES CAPABLE OF SAFELY STOPPING THE MACHINE, MUST BE EQUIPPED

WITH A WORKING KILL SWITCH, AND KILL SWITCH MUST

BE EASILY ACCESSIBLE TO TRACK PERSONNEL, KILL

SWITCH MUST HAVE A 1 INCH OR LARGER RING FOR EASY

HOOK-UP. (ENFORCED) ALL TRACTORS MUST HAVE 3” BACKREST ON SEAT MEASURED FROM SEAT CUSHION UNLESS OTHERWISE EQUIPPED.

4. NO PORTION OF THE TRACTOR MAY INTERFERE WITH THE

SLED OR CHAIN DURING THE PULL. CHAIN AND KILL

SWITCH CORD MUST BE EASILY HOOKABLE WITHOUT

INTERFERENCE. No tractor may exceed 6’ in width or extend

more than 8’ in front of the rear axle.

5. Wheelie bars or skid plates mandatory on all tractors. Maximum of 5”

above the ground and must be at least 5” behind the rear tires, allowing

the front axle no more than 24” above its normal position. Skid plates

must be at least 2” x 3”.

6. Weight brackets/weights may not exceed behind the rear of the rear tires.

All weights must be securely fastened. Weights or anything else lost or

thrown from the tractor or the driver while on the track will be cause for

disqualification.

7. Mower attachments are not permitted.

8. All tractors are subject to random inspection and tear down.

Tear down will be at officials discretion and will be done by a tech official

as appointed by the track officials.

9. NO alcoholic beverages allowed. Any driver drinking on premises will be

band for 1 year and 6 months. **(STRICTLY ENFORCED)**

10. All drivers must sign a waiver. Any driver under 18 must have a parent or

legal guardian sign the waiver for them.

11. ALL DRIVERS MUST ATTEND THE DRIVER’S MEETING BEFORE EACH

PULL. DRIVERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING THE CONTENTS OF

THE DRIVER’S MEETING. **(THIS WILL BE ENFORCED)**

12. Drivers must wear proper clothing. Shirts and shoes are required. No

shorts.

13. All drivers must be lined up when their class is pulling. You will only be allowed

two minutes to be on the track. If you are not there, you must be able to prove a

break then you will be moved to the end of the class and if you do not make it in

the two minutes you will not pull the class and there will not be a refund.

14. DRIVERS MUST MAKE SURE THE PERSON WHO IS HOOKING

THEM UP IS CLEAR OF TRACTOR AND SLED.

15. DRIVERS MUST WATCH THE FLAGMAN AT ALL TIMES.

**(STRICTLY ENFORCED)**

16. Tractors must remain inside the boundary lines or will be disqualified (including

test pull).

17. Drivers must remain in the seat with one hand on the steering wheel at all times

during his/her pull.

18. Tractor must stop upon signal from flagman (ENFORCED). Decisions by event

officials are final.

19. All guards, shields, and rear fenders must be in place (strictly enforced for all

participants). If in question, check with an official.

20. No unsafe acts permitted on the track or in the pits. (reckless operation)

21. ANYONE BEING DISRESPECTFUL OR LOUD WITH OFFICIALS

WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE. NO REFUNDS!!! ENFORCED!!

22. Any violation or failure to comply with these rules will result in immediate

Disqualification. Anything not covered by these rules will be discussed and acted

upon by the officials.

23. Drivers must be at least 8 years old. For ungoverned classes anyone 12 or

younger must have at least 2 years experience pulling. All drivers under the age

of 14 must have adult supervision at all times. Younger drivers pull at the

discretion of track officials.

24. ALL UNGOVERNED CLASSES MUST WEAR HELMETS.

25. Protest must be registered before the event starts. Protestor must pay

$50.00 and state what is being protested. If the one being protested is found

legal, the money will go to the fire company. If found illegal, the one being

protested pays $50.00 and will not be allowed to pull until they prove they are

legal. There will not be a refund of the hook fees. The protesters money will be

refunded. Only the protested tractor owner, the tech official and one of the track

officials will be present during the inspection. No other complaints will be heard.

NOTE: ALL DRIVERS MUST KEEP FINGERS FROM BEING

WRAPPED UNDER FENDERS FOR SAFETY REASONS. (A BROKEN

AXLE OR WHEEL HUB COULD CAUSE INJURY.) IF YOU ARE SEEN BY ANY OFFICIAL YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

NOTE: ALL CLASS WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO TECH INSPECTION.

ONE OR MORE WINNERS MAY BE TECHED AT EACH EVENT.

 

 

 

YOUTH CLASS (14 YEARS AND UNDER)

900 LB.

1. Tractors with original type 1 cylinder 12 HP and under engine with NO

ALTERATIONS.

2. Owner must be able to prove that tractor is OEM with engine and

Transmission in frame.

3. Gasoline only. No alcohol or additives permitted.

4. Stock OEM front rims for make and model. No after market rims, 3

rib tires permitted.

5. 23 X 10.50 - 12” maximum tire size. Any type tires. NO CUTTING permitted.

No after market rims.

6. 10” hitch height, 16” maximum from center of rear axle to hook point. 1 ½”

Diameter hole for sled hook, 3/8 - ½” thick at point of hook.

7. Engine speed at full throttle of 3600 RPM (governed-no load).

8. Stock stroke and .030” overbore maximum for engine used.

9. No after market or reground cams permitted.

10. Stock valves or equivalent replacement. Stock valve seats. No porting.

11. OEM carburetor for engine. No oversized carburetor. Must have stock air

Cleaner assembly for engine. Choke plate must be installed and working. Foot or hand throttle permitted.

12. Exhaust pipes with no muffler must discharge vertically. 12” minimum from

Center of bend. No pipe diameter larger than exhaust port at engine.

(ENFORCED)

13. Clutches, belts, open drive shafts must be shielded same as factory.

14. Payback will be based on entry fees collected for the class.

15. These tractors may run in the factory class or stock class.

 

 

FACTORY STOCK

rib tires permitted.

5. 23 X 10.50 - 12” maximum tire size. Any type tires. NO CUTTING permitted.

No after market rims.

STOCK CLASSES

STOCK 16: 1000 LB. 16 HP AND UNDER

STOCK 16: 1100 LB. 16 HP AND UNDER

STOCK 25: 1000 LB. 25 HP AND UNDER

STOCK 25: 1100 LB. 25 HP AND UNDER

1. Stock appearing tractors with standard type 1 or 2 cylinder engine or equivalent

replacement and stock appearing drive train for make and model.

2. Gasoline only. No alcohol or additives permitted. Maximum specific gravity of

.750 (random testing will be done).

3. 23 X 10.50 - 12” maximum tire size. 0-25 class may run 26 x 12 x 12 tires. Any

type tires. Stock diameter front rims for make and model. After market rims

and 3 rib tires permitted. NO CUTTING permitted. NO PRO PULLER

TIRES.

4. 10” hitch height, 0-25 class will have 13” hitch height, 16” maximum from center of rear axle to hook point. 1 ½”diameter hole for sled hook, 3/8 - ½” thick at point of hook.

5. 4000 RPM at full throttle (governed-no load). Stock stroke and .030” maximum

Overbore for engine used. Piston may NOT protrude above deck surface.

6. Must have cast camshaft (NO steel). Max lift: .325”

(18 HP Overhead camshaft will be allowed).

7. NO welding, grinding or polishing on cylinder head. OEM head gaskets only. (.050 compressed.) NO after market heads. Piston cannot be higher than zero deck.

8. OEM points and cover for tractor model.

9. OEM valve seats and valves for factory rated HP of engine model being used.

ALL OVERHEAD ENGINGES MUST USE OEM VALVE TRAIN COMPONENTS. (The owner is responsible for teardown to prove legality if required.)

10. Original type carburetor for engine used with NO carburetor to engine spacers or

velocity stacks. (Maximum venturi diameter of 1.000”). NO after market high performance fuel pumps allowed. Example Holley. NO UPDATES ALLOWED.

11. OEM cast flywheel only. NO cutting, welding, or adding weight to flywheel. NO

rotating counter weight on opposite end of crankshaft.

12. Foot or hand throttle permitted.

13. Exhaust pipes with no muffler must discharge vertically. 12” minimum from

center of bend.

14. Clutches, belts, open drive shafts must be shielded same as factory or equivalent.

15. Must have reverse gear unless not original equipment.

16. MUST MAINTAIN FACTORY STANCE.

TECH REQUIREMENTS: removal of head, fuel pump, cam cover, and or fuel lines for components and fuel check as requested. Refusing to comply with TECH check is automatic disqualification.

 

 

MODIFIED STOCK CLASSES

MOD 16: 1000 LB. 16 HP AND UNDER

MOD 16: 1100 LB. 16 HP AND UNDER

1. OEM produced engines (Briggs, Kohler, Onan, and Tecumseh). No after market

blocks. Crankshaft and camshaft must be in original position.

2. Engines must use stock stroke. Any bore, valves, cams, etc. are permitted. No

welding or cutting jugs. Air restricting venturi may not be larger than 1.200”

diameter. Air controlled by butterfly, in stock position. Choke may be removed.

3. Ungoverned engines must use steel (or aluminum) flywheel. Cast flywheels must be governed to 4500 RPM maximum. Ungoverned engines must have head

plates or straps. Minimum of Ό” x 2” steel or 3/8” x 3” aluminum.

4. Flywheel must be covered by a stock blower housing or better. Clutch

components must be shielded 360° with 1/8” steel or 3/16” aluminum.

5. 23 x 10.50 - 12” rear tires maximum. Tire cutting allowed.

6. No carburetor to block spacers. Velocity stacks permitted.

7. Foot or hand throttle permitted. Dead mans throttle spring mandatory.

8. Gasoline or Alcohol. Maximum specific gravity of .750. After market fuel pumps allowed.

9. Exhaust pipes with no muffler must discharge vertically. 12” minimum from

center of bend.

10. 10” hitch height, 16” maximum from center of the rear axle to hook point. 1 ½”

diameter hole for sled hook, 3/8 - ½” thick at point of hook.

11. Wheel base and axle placement must be in original location.

12. Must have cam gear scatter shield.

13. Must wear helmets.

 

 

STOCK ALTERED

1000 lb.

1050 lb.

1. Commercially available garden tractor with cast block engine. Engine block,

chassis, and sheet metal must be factory produced garden tractor and maintain

stock appearance.

2. All engine parts used must meet OEM dimensions and specifications for size and

Location.

3. No welding or externally visible modifications allowed. (Billet heads allowed.)

4. Maximum bore size: 3.780”. Maximum stroke: 3.250”. Maximum CID: 36.5”

5. Maximum carburetor standoff allowed: 1.000”.

6. Carburetor must be Kohler type. Maximum air restricting venturi diameter:

1.000”. Air flow must be controlled by throttle shaft actuated butterfly in stock

location. No air may enter intake after 1.000” restriction.

7. Maximum camshaft regrind spec.: .330” lift at 0.010” lash. Maximum valve

diameter: 1.380”.

8. Stock appearing hood and grill required. May switch to another factory sheet

metal, but must maintain stock appearance.

9. Billet steel or aluminum flywheel required. No rpm limit.

10. Must be equipped with all safety devices including rear stabilizer bars, kill switch,

dead man throttle, and fire extinguisher.

11. Maximum hitch height: 13” with 1 ½” hook hole. Maximum 16” from axle center to hook point. 3/8 - ½” thick at point of hook.

12. Maximum tire size: 26 x 12.00 x 12.

13. Maximum wheel base: 52”. Any garden tractor chassis having a stock wheel base

of 52” or longer must retain the stock wheel base. Chassis may be altered to

accept non-original engine, but must remain stock length.

14. Maximum distance from center of rear axle to furthest point forward: 84”.

15. Gasoline or alcohol. Maximum specific gravity of .750.

16. MUST WEAR HELMETS.

 

 

PRO STOCK/SUPER STOCK

PRO STOCK/50.5 CID: 1000lb.

PRO STOCK/50.5 CID: 1050 lb.

1. Single cylinder, air cooled, naturally aspirated, four cycle, flat head engine.

Maximum limit on engine displacement of 50.5 cubic inches for Pro Stock and

30.5/50.5 cubic inches for Super Stock.

2. Jugs other than stock for that engine model NOT permitted. Sleeves and welding

permitted. Crankshaft and camshaft must be in original position. Original

Measurement from center of crankshaft to top of deck.

3. Stock appearing carburetor limited to a maximum air restricting venturi size of

1.200”. Air flow must be controlled by throttle shaft actuated butterfly in stock

location. (Super Stock may use any type naturally aspirated fuel system.)

4. Auxiliary fuel pumps permissible.

5. Dead man throttle springs mandatory.

6. Intake standoffs and velocity stacks allowed.

7. Maximum tire size: 26 x 12.00 - 12”.

8. All tractors must have hood and grill (nose piece). Switching to another factory’s

sheet metal is permissible.

9. May run on pump gas or alcohol (clear). No additives. No nitrous oxide. No

pressurized fuel tanks.

10. Shields mandatory: Flywheel & clutch - 360° , 1/8” steel or 3/16” aluminum

minimum. Opposite side from camshaft - width of engine from frame to top of

head, 1/8” steel or 3/16” aluminum minimum. (Super Stock must have camshaft

side shield - from frame to valve cover.)

11. Fire extinguisher mandatory. Must be easy to reach.

12. 13” hitch height with 1 ½” hook hole. Maximum of 16” from axle center to hook

point. 3/8 - ½” thick at point of hook.

13. Maximum wheel base: 56”. Any garden tractor chassis having a stock wheel base

of 56” or longer must retain the stock wheel base for that model tractor.

14. Must wear helmet!

 

 

QUARTER SCALE PULLERS

OPEN SUPER STOCK 1000# & 1050#

1. Engines will be limited to the following.

2. Must be garden tractor based engine block. Block may be copied, but must meet

Basic manufactures specifications.

3. Maximum of two (2) cylinders. These can be in separate engines (I.e. two single

cylinder engines).

4. OHV & OHC engines, Maximum of 54 cubic inches with a maximum of four (4)

valves total.

5. Flathead engines, maximum of 70 cubic inches.

6. Any type of naturally aspirated induction is permitted.

7. Electronic fuel injection NOT allowed.

8. All tractors must be equipped with a dead man throttle.

9. No pressurized fuel tanks. No Nitrous Oxide.

10. All exhaust must discharge vertically and be securely attached. No more that 10

degrees out of straight upward allowed.

11. All tractors are to run Methanol, with no additives. There are two U.S. Federal

Grades. Grade A and AA. Either grade is permitted to use. Pullers should ensure that the methanol they purchase meets federal standards of purity.

12. All tractors to be equipped with workable brakes. FLYWHEELS and STARTER

PULLEYS must be of billet steel or aluminum (no cast or stamped steel pulleys).

No welded on fins. All starter pulleys must have a retaining device to prevent

pulley from coming off crankshaft. All final drive belts must be covered top 180°

and all flywheel and clutch assemblies must be covered 360° with 1/8” steel or

3/16” aluminum and be securely fastened to the frame or engine.

13. Drawbar will be horizontal and stationary in all directions. With hitching device

not more than Ύ” in thickness and must have a 1 ½” hole for hook. Pulling point may not be more that Ύ” from back edge of hitching device parallel to and not more than 13” above the ground. Comment: Pulling hitch should be made of

steel.

14. All tractors must have hood and grill.

15. All tractors must have fenders to protect the driver from the rear tires.

16. Fenders should extend at a minimum of 4” out over the tires. All tractors must

have at least a 3” seat back on all seats.

17. No portion of any tractor may exceed 6 feet in width. No portion of any tractor

May exceed 8 feet forward of the center of the rear wheel, including weights.

18. Wheelbase 56 inches maximum.

19. TIRES MUST BE NO LARGER THAT 26X12X12 FOR ALL TRACTORS.

 

 

GENERAL RULES FOR ALL ATV CLASSES

1. To use or not to use front or rear suspension is optional.

2. Weight bars will be measured from the center of the rear axle forward. Weight brackets and weights cannot exceed 80”.

3. The maximum extension of rear weight brackets and weights is 18” measured from the center of the rear axle. The maximum width cannot exceed 12” from the outside sidewalls of the rear tires. The maximum height is 60” measured from the ground.

4. Heavy-duty clutch kits may be used.

5. Any appearance changes such as removing the racks and lights, lowering the front suspension, use of aftermarket fenders and seats, handlebars and grips are permitted.

6. Operating item such as brake pads, levers, cables or lines, throttle cables and throttles, clutch levers and cable levers and cables, hoses and chains may be replaced with aftermarket equipment as long as they still perform the intended function.

7. The hitch must be accessible from the rear to make an easy hook-up to the sled. All hitches must be located behind the rear axle of the machine and must be rigid. NO moving hitches permitted. Hitches must be bolted, welded or solid mount design. NOTE: hitch eyelet must be parallel with the ground. Maximum hitch height from the top of the hitch to the ground is 12”. The maximum hitch length from the center of the rear axle to the end of the hitch is 18”. A 1 ½” diameter or larger hole is required for the hook.

8. All drivers must straddle the seat and at least one hand must be on the steering wheel or handlebars at all times. All units MUST have wheelie bars to prevent turnovers. A pair of these devices are to have wheels or skid plates. Wheels are to be at least 1” wide and 4” in diameter with metal rims or solid steel wheels: maximum 1 ½” X 3” at the ground contact point. Devices must be no less than 5” behind the rear tires and allow front axle to raise no more than 24” from its normal position. These devices must be strong enough to support the full weight of the machine.

 

 

 

OPEN ATV CLASSES

1. Maximum width may be up to 55” from outside of sidewall to outside of sidewall.

2. Maximum wheelbase is to be 70” from center of rear axle to center of front axle.

3. All machines must have kill switch or tether switch attachable to the sled.

4. Alcohol fuel is permitted but no nitrous oxide.

5. Rear fenders must be installed to offer adequate protection to the driver’s legs and other body parts.

6. Exhaust must exit 45 degrees vertical or horizontal to the rear to provide protection for anyone nearby.

7. Tire tread must fit a 12” wide, 26” tall gauge. No wheel size limit. No studs, chains, wires, or duals permitted.

8. Drivers are to be 16 years of age or older or 15 with safety license from and ATV safety course (not over 750cc engine must have proof of age).

9. Hitch height 12”

OPEN ATV CLASSES OFFERED

Unlimited cc 1050 lbs. Turbos and superchargers permitted. Must be shielded. Any type of engine.
